Value is a Verb

Recently I was asked if I would like to present at a women's brunch at a local wellness studio. An opportunity I simply could not pass up!

After immediately accepting the offer I dove straight into uncovering what I wanted to speak about.

Uncovering.

I use this word deliberately. I use this word because it felt like this opportunity, this forum, at this time, came together in a way that was not just of my own making. It felt like a culmination of sorts. Both a coming together and a kicking off.

My presentation, with the same name as this blog post, poured out of me over the following few weeks. On my couch that evening, voice notes on my phone on the way to work, scribbled notes in the margins of my otherwise corporate work notebook, musings while at the beach, on the balcony, in the airport, reflections in the shower. It felt both urgent and organic.

This message, and the ability and platform I am now building to share it, is my heart song.

I shared some of my own story in this space, at this brunch, with these women who all came together to talk and learn about self worth, wellness and empowerment. I was humbled by the women who also shared their stories. I was reminded, as I am time and time again, of the life changing power of using our own voices.

Thank you to the other women who shared. Thank you to the women who organised this event and to everyone who attended.

I am back in the uncovering phase again now. This is the kicking off part.

Where this goes, nobody knows.

But I am poised to continue to impact the lives of other women who want to find their voice, stand in their truth and make their values, verbs.
