Cognitively Speaking has been a dream of mine for years. I have had a lot of time to reflect on why I wanted to pursue this.

Like most people I am juggling various priorities. There were many moments along the journey where I faced a fork in the road and could have easily given up on this dream. I am so pleased that I didn't and so honoured and privileged to be in a position to help so many others work towards and realise their dreams.

So, a moment for the why...

Challenges are not insurmountable

Cognitively Speaking was born out of a desire to help people, particularly young women, not only cope with the challenges they face but thrive with them.

Not in spite of them.

Not because everything is ‘fixed’.

But because through internal work, they have found a peace and acceptance that allows them to experience more freedom, joy and love. It also allows them to be more discerning and make choices that are more aligned to their values.

Mental wellness is not linear

Wellbeing is not linear. It is not the kind of destination that is fixed and stagnant. As we grow and change, so do our needs, the way the associate with others and ourselves. Being more a-tune to underlying values has been critical in me finding joy and acceptance in my journey.

Things are not always as they seem. Things are not simple. But things can be beautiful.

Cognitively Speaking was created to help more people water the garden of their minds. Tend the soil they are given and make, appreciate and bask in the beauty you can create.

Reach out if you want to garden together.
